The road as a professional athlete is a difficult one, especially for sporting codes that are not well-funded. From scouts, to development programs, to paid travel for domestic or international bouts, combat sport in particular lacks stable funding before athletes have the opportunity to perform under televised lights.

Nick trains a minimum of 20 hours per week to maintain his skill, ramping up to 26 hours per week during fight camps. This intensive training regime often prevents athletes from working full-time roles, struggling to prioritise specialist camps, mindset coaching, or much-needed nutrition and recovery services.

Partnering with local brands like EMF Australia, Foreground Performance, Mind Muscle Remedial therapy and That’s Us Uso is a two way relationship. Athletes are excellent ambassadors for health and lifestyle brands and Nick Slick’s highly engaged audience converts consistently.
